Nine

How did it happen?
My sweet baby girl is NINE!
In 9 years she has lived in 2 different states,
2 different countries, she
 has endured three deployments
and still always
has a smile!

She is smart, beautiful,
creative, friendly, and a happy
little Diva.

She has changed me in ways that
she will never know.
She loves to get her nails done,
dress up, and go to parties!
She will never admit it,
but I know she loves
to rock out some miles with me.
She has never met a stranger
nor a camera that she does not like.
She loves to talk just like her Mommy.
She is my little mini me!
She always wants to do what
I am doing
 She loves to read!
AG dolls and Legos
come in 2nd and 3rd after
her love of books.
She can belt out some Carrie Underwood
and Gary Allen.
 She loves school!

I thank God
every day for her!

Happy 9th Birthday!!!
We love you
to the moon and back!

Rudesheim am Rhein

Our first day trip was to
Rudesheim am Rhein.
We made our way to the train station
earlier than the family wanted to,
but I was on a mission.
We purchased a day ticket for the entire family
with a cost of only 15 euros.

We met a really nice German man
on the train that gave us some great tips.
The train ride was only 34 minutes long.
 The town was beautiful!

We made our way through the town
to Seilbahn Ruedesheim an Rhein
We started with a cable car ride up the mountain.
The views are amazing and you travel over top the vineyards.

Once we reached the top we headed off on foot.

The views are out of this world!

 We made it to the
Niederwalddenkmal monument.
It is located in the Niederwald Landscape park.
The monument was constructed to commemorate the
foundation of the German Empire after the end
of the Franco-Prussian War.
It was huge and could be seen for miles.

Then we walked through the woods.
It was a beautiful walk with lots of shade.

We spent about 90 minutes walking before we reached
our ride down the mountain.
We took a chair lift down!
The kids loved it!

I think this might be one of the very few
places you can not smoke in Germany.

We made our way down into the town.
The views once again were awesome.

The town looks like a picture you see in
 a book!

Then we took a boat back to Rudesheim.

We walked around the town and
 down Droggelgass.
The street is filled with shops, restaurants,
and wine shops.
We had lunch at
Zum Drosselmuller!
The food was great and they had
English menus and that's a big plus.
We got some ice cream and I did a little
wine tasting.
I was very happy to find a sweet Riesling,
because most have been very dry.
Then it was back to the train and time to call it a day!
It was a great day and we plan to go back soon.

I think our first day trip was a success!
The kids loved the cable car and chair lift
and wanted to do it again and again.
