Can I get a do-over?

I plan, I love to plan and because of that, I want things always to be perfect. This Easter things are not going according to plan. I feel the like a super failure.

It started back the end of February; beginning of March when I log onto PB Kids to order Mr. Man Easter Basket. That same one I ordered 3 years ago for the Diva, but his would be blue and white. Guess what???? That liner was out of stock. I figured they would get more in stock seeing that it was not even April yet. I checked back every few day to see if it was in, but it never was. I realized I would have to order a different liner. When I went to do that, it was also out of stock. Mr. Man will not get his Easter Basket this year. I am sure he will not care, but I do. I feel like I failed him.

We go to color eggs today. I love to color eggs, but decided that we will do only 18 because I am not sure how we will even eat that many eggs. I boil the eggs, get the color all ready to go and put everything on the table. Then it hits me…..I got brown eggs ;-( I know that I needed to buy white eggs, but we eat brown. Out of habit, that is what I grabbed. Coloring eggs did not go as planed. We had to leave them in the dye for about 10 minutes to get them pick up any color. The Diva just did not get how that was any fun.

All day long, I have had a feeling that I was forgetting something and then it hits me pictures with the bunny. I try to do this stuff weeks before the holiday, but it did not happen this year. Every time we went to the mall the bunny was MIA. Now I had to redress the kids and get to mall. Only to stand in a long line while the bunny was MIA. The bunny arrives about 20 minutes later and about 15 minutes after that it was our turn. The kids did great ;-). Smiles and more smiles!

I hope tomorrow all things go according to plan and kids have a blast. Here are the pictures:

Mr. Man...........

Not a very good video of Mr. Man, but you can hear him. He is trying to pull up on his toys now. He can crawl backwards, will do push-ups (trying to get video of that), and is all over the place. If you put him on the floor and walk away, he is on the move. What happen to my baby???

Easter Party

The Diva had her class Easter Party today at a local park. The weather could have been a little better, but the kids had a blast. They ran around and played, ate some treats, heard a story and got to hunt some eggs.

Her teacher is the best. She is always doing little things like this for the class. The Diva loves her and you can tell she has a passion for teaching. I could not have asked for a better teacher. If only I could get her to teach PK4 next year.

Super Mom

I know for anyone that has more then 2 kids this is will seem like walk in the park, but for me it feels like I just climb Mt. Everest. I took the kids to zoo! Yes, me myself and I took the kids to zoo. From the second I realized I was pregnant with number 2 this what I stressed about. I did not worry if I would be able to love two kids or worry about the lack of sleep. I worried if I would be able to continue to take the Diva on what I like to call day trips and look like we have it all together. For us anything fun to do is a good hour drive just to get there.

I did start the day out with a nice game of musical car seat. For some reason I had to make sure, they matched the car before we could go to the zoo. Just not sure what I was thinking. After that small delay, we hit the road.

We make it to the zoo and the Diva was ready to go. Before we could see any animals, I had to renew my season pass. I had to go into the gift shop to do this. Why I cannot do this at the ticket counter I will never understand. As I tried to fill out the forms, the diva could not resist the toys like any other 3 year old. Up on my hip she goes, only for the baby to start to cry:-(. So here, I am in the gift shop filling out the form with my left hand, the diva on my right hip while I push the stroller with my right foot to make the baby happy. The cashier was very impressed with mommy skills, but I was ready to run away. After all that we got to go, see the animals

The Diva had a blast and Mr. Man was all smiles. We had a great day! No tears or meltdowns and mommy feels like super woman! We will do it again and I am sure I will stress out about it, but as long as we look like we got it all together then we are half way there.
Here are a few pics from the zoo:

Easter Pic

Two hours and 90 plus pictures later we are done. The kids did great, not a single tear or meltdown! They could not believe how much the Diva would smile all the poses she was doing. Mr. Man made them all want to have another child. All he did was smile and laugh.
