Easter

We started our Easter activities on Saturday
morning and took the kids to an egg hunt.
The kids did a few crafts before the egg hunt.

We went outside for the egg hunt
and quickly realized it was more of
 an egg scramble.
We decided to skip the second hunt,
because we realized it was not going to be
a hunt, but a push and grab event.

We came home and dyed our eggs.
I love dyeing eggs, but I love watching the
kids dye eggs even more.
Both kids do it differently.
Mr. Man is a wham bam and done.
The Diva starts out like me,
slow and with a plan, but then speeds
up towards the end.

Once the kids went to bed I started on Easter brunch prep.
CUPCAKES!!!
Mr. Man was up first and ready to go.

The bunny did a good job this year :-)
 One happy Diva!
 Sweet Boys first Easter
and I think he's a fan!
The package is always better than the toy!

 The egg hunt!

After brunch we went over to one of
the parks in the area and had an egg
hunt with a few of our friends.
We hid over 300 eggs!

 Before the mad dash!!!

All in all it was a great day!
Good food and good friends!
"Jesus said unto her, I am the
resurrection, and the life: he that believeth
in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever
liveth and believeth in me shall never die."

To Fast

Sweet Boy had his 6 month photos
back in February!
It's hard to believe he is now
7 months old. Time really needs to slow down.
At 7 months he is
27.17 inches and
20.28 pounds!!!
I don't think Mr. Man was 20 pounds at a year!
He really is a sweet boy.
He is a happy boy and smiles all the time.
He is trying to figure out how to crawl,
but for now gets around by rolling.
He loves it when I sing "The Wheels on the Bus"
and loves to play in the bath.
He travels well and loves to be on the go!
Sleeping is not something he is a fan of and if I want
him to have a good nap then he sleeps in my arms.
Truthfully, I love every minute of it!
Time is flying by and I really
wish it would slow down.
I know one day my Sweet Boy
is not going to want to nap in my arms
or listen to me sing.

Boys and Gray Hair

I got 'that call' from school this week!
I actually missed 'that call' because my
ringer on my phone was off.
I checked my phone just as it registered
a missed call and voice mail.
I played the voice mail and the only
things I heard was fall, laceration, and face!

I was at a friends house planning
a trip for spring break and my face must
of said it all. She quickly helped me pack up and offered to watch
the little guy, but truthfully it easier to
take him with me.

We ran to school and to get my baby!!

He was running at recess and fell
on some metal stairs and hit
the side of his face.

On the way down he bit his cheek!
No damage to his teeth, but
it caused a huge laceration on
the inside of his mouth.

The awesome nurse at school
got us in to the dental clinic
on post.
This little man was a rock star!!!
The doctor even commented
about how relaxed and mature he was!

He received two stitches on the inside
of his mouth!
The doctor kept telling me
it looks a lot worse than it was
 and it will heal fast.

I was going to let him play hooky
from school the next day, but this guy
didn't want to stay home!
I was trying to get a picture of the damage,
but he was hamming it up for the camera!!

You can kind of see how swollen
his face is.
I hope the red area does not turn
black and blue.
He is not really eating much because
he says it hurts.
Hopefully he starts to eat soon.

 Here are a few more
pictures of our crazy little guy!

It's never a dull moment around
here with this guy.

Hopefully it's the last time
I get 'that call' from the school.
Truthfully I don't think
I can handle it again.
He has already given me enough
gray hair!!

Dr. Seuss Week

Dr. Seuss week is a big deal at the kids
school?!?
I am a little confused about why,
but the kids had fun with the
themed days.

First was crazy hair and socks day.
Given that his normal hair style
is considered crazy by some,
we really had to go big or go home!
It was red on the top, white on the back and
blue with shimmer on the sides.
He was playing it up for the camera.

The Diva was competing in an oral reading
competition on crazy hair day. We decided
it would be best to do her hair after the competition
was over.
I only had about 5 minutes to come up with
something crazy and Diva approved.
She was a fan of my work!
One of the other days you could
dress like your favorite Dr. Seuss character.
Time for a confession....
We have 2 Dr Seuss books in our house.
We never really got into him.
Each of the kids found a character
they wanted to be.
That is when the fun really began.

Confession #2
I don't make costumes, I buy them!
I have a list of about 4 stores that
I shop at anytime the kids need costumes,
but this time I struck out!
The panic was real!
What was I going to do?

One Amazon order, 2 German
party stores later, and one late night for me,
I managed to pull it off!!

I sent two happy kids off to school!

I will be happy to go back to a school
that talks more about Jesus,
than Dr. Seuss!
