Last Day in Berlin

Our last day in Berlin we visited the Spy Museum.
It was really neat to look into the world of espionage.
More importantly I think it made an impact on the Diva.
We always talk to her about the internet and how anything on the
interent is forever and will follow her around forever.
We also always talk to them about situational awareness,
and to be careful about what you say and to who.
I think (hope) she had a light bulb moment and realizes
that peoeple are always watching her and not just me.

I tried to take a selfie with my big girl camera with this little guy
but it didn't work out. I am sure most of you would prefer
a picture of just him anyways.

The three big kids spent more time then we should admit
testing out their spy skills.

After the museum we grabbed some lunch and did some
shopping before it was off to the train station.
One last Berlin Bear before we headed home.
This time we had the whole six seater cabin
to ourselves on the way home.

Berlin was a great city!
We had a lot of fun exploring
and learning some history.
The kids once again knocked it
out of the park and proved to be
awesome travelers.
Our days are long and jammed pack,
but the older two are rock stars!
Sweet Boy can hang with the best of them.

Berlin Day 3

First thing in the morning we
headed back to Checkpoint Charlie
to go to the museum.
Lucky for us the 'soldiers'
were not at the checkpoint yet, so we could get
some picutres without them or paying for them
to take our picture.

Then we went to the museum.
We could have easily spent the whole day here
reading every thing, but it was also very
sad to read about life back then.
The lenghts people went to
to escape East Berlin.

We made our way to second floor and realized it
was time to go. It had a lot of history on
more recent and current conflits or events.
We quickly found ourselves having to
stop the kids from reading things.
We want to expose the kids to a lot
of things, but we felt it was little too
heavy for their current age. Honestly
some of it was too much for me.

We decided to cheer up the mood and
go on a bear hunt on our way to lunch.
Buddy Bear is all over Berlin, so
we decided to see how many we could find.

In the middle of the city we found a bombed
out church. It was beautiful!

After lunch and a little shopping
(Berlin has some great shopping)
we went to the Berlin Zoo.

It was located in the middle of city,
but once you entered the zoo you never would have
realized that.

Hard to believe it was Sweet Boys first
visit to a zoo, but in my defense he has been
to 3 different countries.

Off we went to explore with our tour guide!
He was a man with a plan.

We got very close to a lot of the animals.
Sweet Boy went crazy at the monkeys!
I wish I had video of him just talking to them.
I was wearing him on my back, so it was a little
hard to take pictures of him.

After spending a few hours at the zoo it was time
 to call it day!
We found one more bear on the way back to
the hotel.
It was our last night in Berlin so
when  we got  back to our room the big kids
went swiming with Mr. PC and Sweet Boy
crawled all around the room.
We ordered room service for dinner
and called it a night.
