Rothenburg ob der Tauber

We decided to make a day trip
to Rothenburg ob der Tauber.
It is a medieval town located in
the state of Bavaria, Germany.

It only took a few seconds
for me to fall in love with this town.

The small cobblestone streets lined
with beautiful homes and stores.

We love our stairs and we don't let
the stroller stop us from climbing them.
 I took some pictures
of a few doors
on the way to our first stop.

Our first stop was
Plonlein with Kobolzeller Steige and Stitalgasse.
After we got orders to Germany
I found a picture of this and decided
we would visit here one day.

Getting pictures of the house and streets
proved to be a bit of a challenge
with all the people and cars, but
I got a few good ones.

 We found a peaceful little
courtyard and Sweet Boy
had a little snack.

Then we headed out to explore the town
and grab some lunch.

We found a really cool medieval store
that had an awsome fish pound.

On our way back to the town square we found this beauty!
Lots of cute little hotels and I would
love to spend a weekend in this town,
Then it was off to the wall!

 The wall was not stroller
or heel friendly, at times it was very narrow
with stairs.
I carried Sweet Boy and switched
the heels for tennis shoes.

You could see many beautiful houses from the wall.
If I was to live in Germany permanently
I would want to live here.

In typical fashion we spent longer on The Wall
then we had planned and when we made our
way back to town it was closing time
 for most of the stores.

 This picture of Sweet Boy
says it all!
We loved Rothenburg ob der Tauber!
It's a beautiful town with friendly
people.
This is a town we will
have to visit again before we leave Germany.
