Low Key Saturday

We started our day with a run/walk.
Do not let her fool you, she can hang with the
best of them and rack up some miles.
Then the kids spent the rest of the time playing.
 Rescue Bots and Legos!
I spent the day in the kitchen!
I made egg cupcakes for breakfast
and roasted lots of vegetables for lunch.
Then I made healthy cupcakes.
Whole wheat, flax seed, prunes, and
Greek yogurt and few other things.
Then I iced the cupcakes with homemade
cream cheese icing.
( I used natural food dye, so that
makes it healthy. ;-) Right?)
After a very long wait it was time
 for the movie to start!

 The Diva was so happy!
He managed to watch the whole movie,
but he was not a fan and very sleepy!
It was just a low key Saturday
and we had a lot of fun.

Our Diva

She is 7 and counting the days till
her next birthday! Her favorite color is pink
and her favorite food is raspberries.
 She is an adventurous eater
and always willing to try to new things!

She loved sushi, but will stick with her
regular hummus.
She wants to be a veterinarian and
fashion designer.
I got out the camera
and told her to give me best fashion looks.
She had a blast with this!
 Each new outfit come with
a new personality.

I can see so much of my
personality in her.

 We already bump heads
and I am sure the older she gets
the more often it will happen.

I'm glad she's got my personality.
I want her to stand strong for what
she believes.
To draw a line in the sand and refuse to
step over it.
To always believe in herself.

I want her to know that laughter
is  good  medicine and
a smile can open
a lot of doors.
 To dance in the rain
even if she is the only one!
To trust in herself and to talk
to God often.

I want her to always remember
that life is short and true friends
 will always have your back.

To love with all her heart
and believe in fairy tales.

I want her to never ever forget
just how much we love her
and that she will always be
our sweet baby girl.

 Legos in the morning.

 Fashion Diva in the morning!
(I need to work on a post all about her
and her love of fashion.)

Legos for all in the evening!

A Little bit of This

and a little bit of that.
We may have spent the day
playing with Legos.
My OCD may have got
the best of me when building a house.
(pictures from a few days ago)
(His fake pouty face)
The kids  stayed in
pajamas all day long
and it was another
rainy day.

It was my favorite type of day!
I checked nothing off my to do list,
but it was a great day.

Some days they drive me crazy,
but I love them so much!
(Saturday Night Fever remake maybe?)
Spending a day knee deep in Legos
was just the type of day I needed.
(Always all smiles)
My to do list can wait, because
before long my kids will be
to big and cool to play
Legos with me.
(Growing up way to fast)
It was a great day and my Lego house
totally rocked!

We got to watch it all from the front porch
